                   LANGO sub-region, NORTHERN UGANDA

There are various ways investors can give their support to the development of Lango sub-region. Direct financial support is often practiced. Another way of supporting development programs/projects is through a project-financing program called build-own-operate-transfer (BOOT). This method is often used by countries such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Nepal in infrastructure projects and in public-private partnerships. The private party has the responsibility to raise the finance for the project and is entitled to retain all revenues generated by the project and is owner of the regarded facility. The facility concerned will, in due time, be tranferred to the public administration at the end of the concession agreement, without any remuneration of the private entity involved.

More information can be forwarded to those interested in BOOT as a valid way to invest in Lango sub-region.
